Smoke and Mirrors is the story of the murder of Nailah Franklin by Reginald Potts and the love story of Reginald Potts and Nailah Franklin. Neither of these true stories turns out well for Nailah .

Reginald Potts is convicted of Murder and sentenced to life without possibility of parole. He will never be released. Days before Franklin disappeared, she told a friend that if she ever went missing, her disgruntled former beau, Reginald Potts, “did it.” Her body was found nine days after she went missing.
