Deception in D.C. is the story of the murder of Antoinette Chase by Spencer Chase and the love story of Spencer Chase and Antoinette Chase. Neither of these true stories turns out well for Antoinette.

Spencer Chase is convicted of murder and sentenced to life . The couple was in the midst of separating after 20 years of marriage. He was tried twice with the first trial ending in a hung jury.

TV One describes this episode in Season five as Antoinette dies in an apparent suicide that uncovers evidence of foul play and is questioned on whether or not it's an illusion..

Opinion

Not sure why people think murder is less of a sin then divorce, but it isn't. In the big scheme of things, it's much worse and affects many more people. If you are unhappy in your marriage, don't cheat or kill, simply take the hit and divorce.

According to Fox News , An Alabama evangelist who authorities say terrorized his family while preaching at revivals has been sentenced to life plus 51 years in prison after being convicted of killing his wife and storing her body in a home freezer. Pastor Anthony Hopkins was sentenced to life plus fifty one years and is not eligible for release. This episode is described as A revelation years later, proves that Arletha's tragic death is more shocking than anyone could have imagined.
